Experts: Russia’s e-commerce market rises 22% to 6 tln rbl in 2020
MOSCOW, May 20 (PRIME) -- Russia’s e-commerce market increased 22% to 6.07 trillion rubles in 2020, the Russian Association for Electronic Communications (RAEC) said on Thursday in a research.
The online retail volume jumped 52% to 1.968 trillion rubles, while online traveling plunged 54% to 335.5 billion rubles, the market of services on the Internet increased 22% to 986.5 billion rubles, and the market of electronic payment services rose 34% to 1.794 trillion rubles.
RAEC said the important event for e-commerce was a permit to trade in over-the-counter medications online, and sales of e-pharmacies increased 53% to 31 billion rubles.
